Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is about understanding our business impact on the wider world and considering how we are able to use this impact in a positive way.
Hilton Abbey believes that practising corporate social responsibility has a very positive effect on the local community, wider society and the environment.
As a company, we aim to:
Gain strength through diversity - we seek strength through diversity and encourage job applications from all sections of society
Make the most of our resources – we recognise that work-life balance is of the utmost importance to our employees. Improved motivation has led to reduced absenteeism and reduced staff turnover
Follow environmental best practice – we are ISO 14001: 2015 accredited and as part of our environmental management system, we minimise waste by recycling and review our energy usage regularly, source local and sustainable materials and PAT test all our appliances
Use responsible suppliers – to ensure that our suppliers are able to meet our needs throughout the business relationship. They are subject to stringent and rigorous selection and on-going service criteria, such as finance, the environment, health and safety, environmental and management and quality of workmanship
Invest in the community – we do so by sourcing local labour in order to create a positive economic impact in the areas in which we work. We sponsor employees and their relations, who take part in events for charities
Based in Greenwich, London, we provide commercial clients, local authorities, housing associations, retail outlets, private clients and government bodies from across London and the Home Counties with the very best in building maintenance and refurbishment services.
If you would like to know more about our corporate social responsibilities and what we do for the environment and the local area, do not hesitate to contact us today. One of our friendly team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
